cry  Hi to everyone,

I am just so low today, yesterday I had a lot of pain with the Rheumatoid Arthritis in my arms and hands and felt pretty yuk all day.  But today, I don't have as much pain but I am just so low, that big black hole is beckoning and I am trying to hold on.  Still no news on the daughter front, that is the problem.

I did get some fantastic news last week though that I think I might share with you although this isn't the right site I am going to tell you anyway, I reached the milestone of 10 years post breast cancer and the specialist said I don't need to see him any more unless there is a problem yippee!  yeah I am certainly one of the lucky ones and I thank God every day for that.

Thanks for reading and I hope you are all well.

Hi Jocelyn,

I am so happy for you re the issue of the breast cancer. I had surgery on my breast back in 2000. So far so good for me. So I know how you feel.

I am sorry that you are feeling down. Maybe it is the weather. We have fronts moving in, depending on where you are located. I know that my sciatica was acting up this morning. Not too pleasurable. But I stretched the muscle there and I feel better. Plus an extra pain killer helped. lol.

Know that everybody here cares about you and we all hope that you feel better. Depression is a tricky thing. When it seems like you will never see the light, there it is. And you often wonder what the problem was. But sometimes it feels like it takes forever. I guess we all have our ups and downs. I would just rather have more ups than downs. lol...

You have been so supportive on the forum. I only hope that we can do the same for you and help you to feel better. Keep posting and know that we all care.

Feel better soon.

Hugs, Karen

Hi Karen

Thank you so much for that little pick me up, it helped. I think it is the weather also, it is rainy and quite cool here now, I suppose we should expect that as it is now our third day of winter LOL.

I'll be okay, it's just these last two days I have been really off if you know what I mean, just really really low and in pain. But I will good tomorrow, I am confident of that.

I hope I can help some people on here, what it has made me realise that there is always someone worse off than you, no matter how low you are feeling and for whatever reason, there is always who is much worse than me.

Thanks again.

Hi Jocelyn, I am sorry to hear you are feeling down.  I guess we all have our ups and downs. When we feel low it is hard to do things but we have to be grateful for the good things we have in life. At least I try! That is good news you don't have to see the Dr. anymore. Wow, 10 yrs is amazing. I am 5 yrs post breast cancer and I am down to seeing my Dr. once a year. So we just see how it goes and have faith.I hope you will be feeling better tomorrow. My Grandma used to always say to me when I felt bad "tomorrow is another day." So she meant if you are sad one day you may pick up the next. Take good care of yourself.

Hugs,

Aurora

Thank you Aurora and Nolongersad

Aurora that is fantastic that you are 5 years post breast cancer, it's a great feeling to know that you have beaten that insidious disease isn't it? All the best to you for the future.

Nolongersad, thank you for the link to the website, I have had a quick look and I intend to go back and have a longer look, that will certainly pick me up.

Thanks to you all.

Hey Jaimie

Glad that you're trying, you know you have to pick yourself up because nobody can do it for you, I tell myself that all the time when I am trying not to slide into the black hole. I am so distraught over my daughter and the treatment she is currently dishing out to me and my husband and that is the sole reason of my depression, but then I tell myself to pull up, don't slide and I hang on for the ride. Sometimes it works, sometimes, like this week it hasn't. But I am going to keep trying because if I let go I will surely fall too far.

Glad to hear you're going to Melbourne for the weekend, you must be in Victoria are you? You will need your warm winter woollies in Melbourne. Next year we are going to do a Victorian trip, there is plenty to see and great shopping too.

How about that tornado that hit Lennox Head yesterday? Such destruction and damage. And the rain we have had today has been absolutely terrential at times, great for the water tanks they are well and truly full but I think we can turn it off now and dry out for a few weeks.

Sounds like you might be wise to give the lady a night off tonight, especially if you're not feeling great.

Have a great weekend and keep warm.

Hey Karen

Depression is a funny thing isn't it? I was so rock bottom on Thursday and Friday, it was cold, bucketting rain and my mood certainly fell into line with the weather. Today, Saturday I woke up, felt pretty good, looked outside it was kind of cloudy but the sun was there too. My RA was still sore but the depression had lifted a fair bit and somehow I knew I was going to be okay.

You know this site is just wonderful, I knew if I logged on here and told you that I was feeling really low, that my forum friends would rally and they did, they didn't disappoint me. I might not have a great deal of friends that I can go and physically see, although I do have two true friends, I know I have heaps on here that will help me and all I have to do is just say the word.

Thank you to everyone, you are true friends.

Jocelyn,

Isn't it nice to wake up feeling good??? And I am so happy that the forum is helping you. We have a small group of very caring people. That is what makes HealingWell such a great site.

Being it is the weekend, it will probabaly be slower here today. But that is good, because that means that everybody is enjoying themselves with their family and friends. At least that is how I look at it.

Knowing that you are feeling good really makes me happy. I myself am feeling pretty good too. It is kind of cloudy here today and suppose to rain. But we need it, my lawn is yellow and brown from it being so dry lately.

I hope that your day continues to go good. You are a huge asset on this forum. You are always there for everybody and have such solid advice. Keep up the good work. We all appreciate your posts.

Take care my friend.

Hugs, Karen
