April and part of May hubby was in day program. It was a relief that he was getting help. Apparently when I travel he would stay in bed and not go to work. Apparently he was off his meds. Today I was to leave for a three day meeting. I thought after a month of being on meds and back to work I was safe. I realized almost as soon as I left something was off. I ended up heading back home. When I got home at 2:30 he was back in bed. He had looped back home after I left for work and stayed in bed all day. I tried to talk to him to no avail. He is now asleep all I have is a promise that he will go to work tomorrow. I asked him if he felt mentally together--he said he does. Frankly I think he is pretty ok right now.
I am presenting at the meeting tomorrow. Thinking I should cancel out all together. This is really effecting my job.
Not sure what to do --I keep looking for a small step I can make toward a positive change and I see nothing.

Hi there,

You haven't posted in a long time. It is good to hear from you and I hope that your husband is on the mend.

As for the meeting, I would still go. You have to be able to live your life as you need to. You can't watch him 24/7. Is this meeting critical to your job? You don't want to mess up on your job.

I know that you have struggled for a long time with your husband. And I know that it isn't easy for you. But you have come a long way, keeping up with everything. Maintaining a job is a lot to do. And worrying about your husband makes it even harder. Though getting out could be doing you good. You have something to look forward to, to get away sometimes.

Keep posting and know that we are all here for you. I hope that you are having a good day.

Hugs, Karen

I am glad that he went to work. That is a good thing. I am sure that you are growing weary of this. But hopefully he will continue to do the right things.

Best wishes my friend.

Many hugs, Karen
