Hi Folks

I wanted to try Cymbalta as my pain level is very high and the serzone does not work as well or so I've been told. I got to 100mg ok but at 50mg (down from 300) I started to get restless legs and thrashing arms with low grade anxiety. I increased the dose back to 200mg and am fine but worry what I can do to get off without a lot of discomfort. Maybe prozac at small dose? then switch once that is in my system. I of course want to avoid serotonin syndrome.

Any advice?

Glen

Are you tapering with the doctor's help?  I hope so.  They would know what antidepressant would be safe to switch over to.  I went from effexor to pristiq without trouble.  And I was taking both at the same time.  I hope that something good works out for you.

thanks yes with a doctor's help but he is a county mental health doctor of different background (not American born) I am not against this but we do not communicate too well and it seems I know a lot about Ad's and he takes my lead.

Please know that there are good doctors from all countries but oft times the culture gap is too wide.

I will discuss with him tommorrow. Just looking for others expirence

Yeah, the welbutrin will make you feel speedy at first, but you will get use to it.  It helps you think really sharp.  I liked that part about it.

I hope that everything is going well for you.  Keep posting, glad to see you back.

Thanks. I have a little trouble with sleep as well but I'm almost tapered off suboxone. Down to 1/4mg from two years ago at 16mg

I have chronic pain but want to feel free of opioids so I may be having withdrawal related to the suboxone

time will tell
