i have been married to my husband for 2 and a half yrs. our relationship was PERFECT until we moved in together. he has been distant since we have gotten married... i would spend sleepless nights crying beside him wishing he would show me affection.. but me telling him that being ignored physically was really doing major damage to me inside.. he left to go to afganistan a year after our marriage and finaly returned home in January. he assured me everything would be perfect again once he got home. but unfortunatly it has not been any different... we are both in our early twenties so i dont think its anything physically wrong with him... i just cant take this anymore... i have been on depression meds. hoping that it would help me ope but i know what i really need isnt going to happen... this is the ONLY thing we ever fight about.. but it happens a lot.. he wants nothing physical to do with me.... it kills me...i cant do this much longer....

Hi Spaulding,

Was he this way before he went over seas? Or just when he came back? If I were you, I would bring up couples counseling and if he doesn't want to do that, I would get some counseling so that you would have somebody professional to help you through this. I don't feel confident in giving you advice, as with him being over seas, he could be suffering psychologically. I think it is good that you try to be open, I think that is the best way to go. open and honest. I am sorry that he isn't fullfilling the needs that you have, I am sure that it isn't you. I think that he has some kind of problem that he hasn't been able to share about. I hope that you are able to get him to talk about it.

Hugs, Karen
