Any advice is appreciated
I'm a 20 Yr Old Female, iv been taking Cymbalta for about
9 months now.. Prior to the cymblata i was taking Lexapro, only 20mg for around 2 years.
Iv always had difficulty sleeping, i tried Zopiclone 3.75mg when i was on the lexapro but it did nothing for me unless i doubled up on the tablets... So after a short while i just gave up with them and got on with it.. At that point the sleeping wasn't as bad. Around 3.30 i would get to sleep..
Now iv been taking the Cymbalta 60mg for about
9 months (recently upped to 120mg) and the sleep seems to be non existent.. I had a few side effect, such as nausea and vivid dreams for a while but they all wore off after about
a month.. Then, when i would go to bed.. Id toss and turn, waking up every hour. Basically may aswel not bothered going to bed... And then The Insomnia kicked in.. And i couldn't sleep at all! So id had enough and recently went back to the Doctors again and said look, 'Im finding it very difficult to sleep more so than ever before'.. Sleep example: I can lay in bed from 10pm on the evening and still be awake at 6am... Eventually i will get to sleep, and im back up at about
Or Often id be able to stay awake for around 48 and that night id try and sleep, id get around 3 hours sleep.
So shes given me Zopiclone again 7.5mg this time.. But still nothing.. No tiredness at all i don't feel like i want to sleep even though i lay and just try not to think.. It doesn't work.. So i upped it to two a night.. 15mg... But again i dont feel too much happening... Again im staying away my usual hours, no matter what i do..
Iv tried listening to soothing music, or even adding herbal rem's to see if they will help but nothing..
Is it possible that the Cymbalta and Zopiclone are no good together for me? I put down the the reason they never worked when i was on the lexapro was because i was drinking quite alot..
So my question is, is it safe to take another 1 or 2 zopiclone to help??.. I will STRESS THAT IN NO WAY AM I TRYING TO HURT MYSELF.
I reaaaalllllyyyyy reallly want a good few hours sleep... A decent nights sleep is all im asking....
Id also like to if anyone else has had any problems on zopiclone or if anyone else could recommend any other sleeping tablets? That i could suggest to my doctor..
The first time i ever took Zopiclone, i was abusing alcohol quite a lot.. But iv been of the drink for quite along time now, so i think she will be a little more
open for me asking to try something else..

I take ambien for sleep. But I have no trouble sleeping, I just can't get restful sleep. It is worse than if I haven't slept at all. But the ambien gives me a restful sleep. If I don't have ambien, I take melatonin, but it works, then quits working. I don't know what is up with that.
I hope that you are able to get some rest. It is no fun not getting any sleep. I understand how you feel. Take care.

hello, cymbalta inhibits norepinepherine reuptake which is part of the adenergic system that stimulates the sympathetic nervous system.zopicolone may not be adequate to overcome that effect. tizanadine [zanaflex] which works on the alpha-adernergic receptors may be good for sleep in your situation. clonidine; the drug tizanadine is derived from also may help. some potent benzodiazepine sleeping meds are: dalmane [flurazepam], restoril[temazepam, prosom [estazolam], doral [quazepam, and halcion triazolam.
