I am never a big drinker, but the last week or so I've been really drinking a lot of alcohol. Last night in particular was awful and I fear now that I lost my best friends.

I was extremely uncomfortable at this party we went to and my anxiety was through the roof. I ve never felt so much at one time before. I took some strong drinks and got really drunk..not to the point that I was giggly and embarrassing myself but just that I couldn't even stand up or see straight. My friends got me home and said theyre not mad but I dont believe them. I feel like the worst person in the world now I dont know what to do

I think that you are beating yourself up needlessly. You made a mistake, that is okay. I hope that you can see that. You didn't do anything wrong. Please realilze that.

Keep posting. You are a good person.
I did want to add that therapy is always a good thing.  I agree with you on that.

If I recall you've posted something similar in the past. If this is a recurring issue, maybe it's worth seeing someone to help keep your drinking under control.

But that said, if your friends say they're not mad at you, believe them. I know I saw a psychologist once who asked me whether I often lied to my friends. I told him no. So he asked me why I thought my friends were worse people that I was.

hope that helps.

take care,
