Its bizarre how quickly things can change - going from the elation of hearing my future niece / nephews heartbeat to feel so low i didnt think it possible to feel any worse. Over a period of time I have been getting upset inside about a work colleagues comments towards what i do / dont eat and drink. Someone came into work with some icecream and they were told that i wouldnt want any - i was on the phone at the time so couldnt say otherwise - i wasnt pissed because of what it was - the fact that someone took away my ability to make my own choice. And if there are ever cakes or sweets in the office comments are invariably made that I wont be eating them....why?? The same person also asks me how my colon is (i've got crohns) - i mean who asks such a thing?? The only way i can deal with it is to shut down emotionally otherwise i'd break down at work which is the last thing i want to do. I havent got the energy to do that. This person confronted me at the end of the day and asked if i had a problem with them - and i said i do when it comes to comments over my food. To which they said that that wasnt good enough!!! I then just left for the day and am completely dreading going into work in the morning. A work friend said she doesnt know what she has done to upset me and wants to make it right, but it feels like she is just attempting to spin it around and turn herself into a victim. I really dont know what to do and would rather avoid work tommorrow than to have to deal with this.

Hi, I would say to do you best to let this all go.  You are overreacting to this situation.
Can you just send peaceful loving thoughts toward this co-worker.  I mean the person is not the niciest person around, but you don't want to get taken over by his/her behavior.
You should be putting energy toward get better health.  Crohn's is often caused by heavy metal problems.  Do you have a lot of amalgam (so-called silver)  fillings?  Mercury in the filling can cause crohn's.   Most Doctor's don't know much about this. Do some research on this.  Put in  "Mercury and crohn's" on google.   Don't eat mercruy food like large fish (tuna, gropper, ect.).  Look into a detox program online.  Their are some good book on the subject.   The tests for high-mercury are ohten unreliable.
A heavy metals challange is best (a urine test).
Save your energy to more important things.  Best wishes. JC

I do agree that you could make light of this situation and avoid the conflict. I think it would be easier all the way around as you have to work with this person everyday. But from now on, I would let her know that you are giong to be making your own decisions as to what you want to eat and what you don't. But being that you have to work with this person, I wouldn't take it too personally. And like I mentioned, try to make light of it and get on with the healing process.

I'm not sure if I understand. Is this person trying to be a nudge or is she genuinely concerned about your health? Is she one of these types who thinks she knows everything and butts into your business or is she an overly caring person who can possibly get on your nerves as well?
