Glad I found this site.  I have a long history of depression.  From my early teens Ive battled this thing.  I go for years without any problems at all or very little at least and then the bottom falls out and I begin clawing my way back to the light again.  I'm so tired of this.  I knew that I felt too good during the holidays but didnt expect the drop to go this far.  There really isn't anyone that I can talk to about this without the fear of alienating them.  While I wouldn't wish this on anyone it is comforting to know that I'm not alone.

Hello Ellie,

I'm new in the depression forum, but I have been a member here at Healing Well for a while and am most active in the Lupus forum.

Welcome to HW . . . some very helpful people here. I'm glad you found us. I sure hope you can open up to someone. Give your doctor a call and start there. I know I found it very difficult to ask for help while I was feeling my worst and also described it as being way down in well with no way out. Doctors have become very good at helping with depression. Post again and let us know how you are doing.

Blessings!

:-)  Hi, Ellie
Nice to see you have found this group. I'm sorry to hear that you feel so alone but it happens to the best of us. Coming to this group is your first step to getting the help and support you need. Read a lot and then post. If you can be more spacific about the nature of your problems, some of the other members may be able to shed some light on them. Welcome.

Adding my welcome. Sorry you feel so alone. When you are ready to talk, we are here.

We can respond to irritation with a smile instead of scowl, or by giving warm praise instead of icy indifference. By our being understanding instead of abrupt, others, in turn, may decide to hold on a little longer rather than to give way. Love, patience, and meekness can be just as contagious as rudeness and crudeness.

Hi Pinkflowers,

Welcome to the HealingWell Depression forum.  Actually you have posted on an older post, so I hope that people read it to welcome you.  If you so desire, start a new thread about yourself by pressing "new topic".  Then your post will stand out and more people will read it.

Let us know what is going on with you.  I hope that you feel better soon.  Keep posting.
