Getting back on ADs after years off - now in deep depression brought on by Lyme and other life issues.

Worried about ADs and hair loss, weight gain, etc. First time I heard of Viibryd was today - any experiences with this drug to share?

I note that I took fluoxetine for years did okay on it. Then tried Lexapro, which caused increased anxiety and HAIR LOSS - these are the only two I have tried. My doc is really keen on Viibryd as it causes "no weight and sexual dysfunction issues".

Thanks,
MojoZ

Good luck on the viibyrd. I have never tried it, though I have tried many. I hope that it works for you and not to have those side effects will be nice.

Best wishes, keep posting.

Hello, I wanted to let you know that I have been on Viibryd for about a year now after trying several other anti-depressants over the past 20 years.  I have mdd, anxiety, and ocd.  I am also on a couple of other drugs in addition to the Viibryd.  I experienced no side effects from Viibryd which was shocking because all of the others had them.  Very happy with it so far for the depression.  Does not help with ocd though.

Thanks, all, for your input - I'm going to try it.

Keep reading that the 40 dose ends up being too much for many folks - even my doc said that my happen and is thinking 20 will work for me as I am very med sensitive.

Can't wait to feel better.

Theresa06,

It takes antidepressants six to eight weeks to reach their full potential. So hang in there.
