Hi all  :-)  .  I've been on Celexa on and off for about 2 years now.  When I started taking it I was slightly underweight which was part of the reason the dr. was prescribing this one.  So far I've gained 30 lbs. and I'm having a really tough time losing it.  Going to the gym, watching what I eat...yada yada yada...lol.  I was wondering if anybody else taking this has noticed that the weight isn't budging?

Take care, Softy

When I took Celexa I did not notice difficulty maintaining my weight.
We can respond to irritation with a smile instead of scowl, or by giving warm praise instead of icy indifference. By our being understanding instead of abrupt, others, in turn, may decide to hold on a little longer rather than to give way. Love, patience, and meekness can be just as contagious as rudeness and crudeness.

I've been on Celexa for 6 months and I have actually lost weight - but I know side affects differ from person to person.
Also I have been getting migraines a lot, so I haven't been eating as well as I should.

I have been on celexa for 3 1/2 years and have gained 15 lbs. This is on a 4'10" frame and I used to weigh 100 lbs. So I have increased my weight by 15%. I exercise and eat right, but nothing helps. I have read similar discussions on zoloft and weight gain but not many on celexa. I am assuming most SSRIs are similar at least. I am trying to wean myself off and feel great so far. And, I have a drs appt in 2 days to get advise. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and how long I might expect to wait on my sluggish metabolism to jumpstart. And has any one heard of using omega 3, vit E and orgainc barley to boost weight loss on SSRIs. Found this info on the prozactruth.com/weight.htm website.
