Yesterday I got my little girl to her dance class late. I got the times wrong. She came to me in tears saying I didnt get to do aalot. I felt so bad. The whole way driveing home I kept telling myself how stupid I was. Thats how I feel. When my nerves get bad I tend to sqrew up everything. I think it goes back to my days when I danced. My mama wanted me to be perfect and I tried so hard and was told I was the best at the dance school but I felt like a loser becuase I could never do good enough for her. Now those feelings have come back and I dont wont my daughter to quit because she really wants to do it but I dont know if I can stand the bad memories. Devine Mercy ps. what can i do and how do i quit beating myself up?

Perfection is a harsh task master. It is unyeilding, unkind, unforgiving, the exact oposite of the only person to have led a perfect life. Kinda ironic when you think about it. Hearts will mend, daughters will forgive. Now it is time for mom to forgive herself. Good luck and hope find some peace.
We can respond to irritation with a smile instead of scowl, or by giving warm praise instead of icy indifference. By our being understanding instead of abrupt, others, in turn, may decide to hold on a little longer rather than to give way. Love, patience, and meekness can be just as contagious as rudeness and crudeness.

So you've had time to beat yourself up. Now is the time to forgive yourself and turn a new page in time. Your daughter's dance history doesn't have to be your history. So start anew, looking forward to better days to come. You can break the chain of your past experiences. And have fun with your daughterin this. Hugs,
