Hi everyone,
So I just figured out something... when I'm stressed out about something, I feel like I'm being dragged back into the pit of depression... where I'm trying to avoid going to...
When I stop worrying and fretting about what's making me feel like life has no meaning, I don't feel as horrible...
I don't think avoiding every stressful situation is going to be a good thing, but I feel so much better when I either avoid it or drop it...
It's so hard to live in the now when everything that I do has consequences, and makes me weary about taking new steps...
I feel like I think too much, and that's one of the problems... but how can you not think?

Hi MaWie,
I am very new to this thing so please bear with me. Avoiding the stressful times sounds like a great plan. We can go into business and bottle it! Sadly, we both know that that's not the answer. I don't know if you suffer from anxiety as well but I do. They seem to go hand in hand. I get anxious which brings me down which makes me anxious . . .I am in CBT therapy. So far it hasn't done much good but I will see it through. I've heard it is a good thing. I also just started taking Klonopin which takes the edge off and allows me to see that my stresses will not lead to the end of the world as we know it. (Before Klonopin, a single Tylenol p.m. was helpful too!)
Keep writing to your friends here, that's a stress reliever. Exercise (my least favorite!) is good too. You might pop in to the AP forum once in awhile .
Remember, the stressful situations you find yourself in cannot possibly last forever. There's always the old trick of picturing those around you in their undies!! tongue

Keep in touch . . .you're in my thoughts

Peace,
Sadsunshine
