I saw a psychiatrist today for first time. He prescribed cymbalta and wants to see me in two weeks. He wanted to prescribe wellbutrin, but I'm on a pain med that will not let me take that. Anyone here familiar with cymbalta??

Oh boy, I remember reading some stuff on the boards about Cymbalta. If I remember correctly, it wasn't good. I take Wellbutrin SR and I love it. It's been the only thing that has helped and I haven't had side effects like the other meds. What pain med are you on that conflicts with it?
Fibromyagia since 1997
Osteoarthritis
Bi-lateral Cervical Radiculopathy from C4-C8
Bi-lateral Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Bi-lateral Ulnar Neuropathy
Costochondritis
Cervical cancer-in remission

Meds:

My daughter is on cymbalta and I've praised it--and still am.  Others have had horrible results.  There are two threads with cymbalta in the title on this and/or the next page, which you can read.

Hey Paper

I looked it up and here is the website for you to check out k.

Remember that each person is different so what the med has done to others doesn't necessarily mean it will do it to you.  Just stay in turned to yourself and if you feel anything like increased depression, suicidal thoughts and so on you need to talk to the Dr. and get it changed k.

Hope this helps....Kim

May you all have a healthy, Pain free, fun filled or relaxing day.....Always Kim
