I added a "Part II" to your title, so others will know this is a continuation of the previous post.

Hello everyone...I was a little scared when I found that the original thread was blocked because it was too long but I'm glad to find all of you here. :-) I hope you are all doing well.

I'm okay...trying to "be good" with the food and everything over the holidays. I'm trying not to weigh myself every day and I'm trying to be more active than normal. I really do have to get off Zoloft after the New Year starts. I've just got to get some of this weight off me. I'm trying to stay positive but I guess I'm having a really bad "how could anyone love me looking like this" day...

In any event, I hope you are all doing well and are ready for the holidays.

Hi everyone, been following the posts, haven't really had alot to add or comment about.  The dental part is a bit confusing to me.  I was a dental assistant years ago and what we learned in school is that now a days their is a very low amount of mercury in amalgam fillings, the premixed capsules they use for the amalgam fillings are low in mercury compared the old days. I truley think your fillings are safe and you can feel at ease about them. :-)

Snickersmom its good to see that you also have found the site.  Do you think you will try and go off meds completely or maybe try and find another medication?  I really sometimes wonder if we jumped to soon by trying another med, but at the time it seemed the right thing to do.  Its hard for me to really say of course because I'm not the one feeling the anxeity and the overwhelming feelings that my daughter would talk about, and the sudden mood swings.  Since being on the wellbutrin xl they seem to be better agian, but of course the question is, could she of overcome this without the meds by waiting to see if this was all just part of the side effects of coming off the zoloft.

Happy holidays everyone to you and your feelings.  By the way I did get the 3 Apple a day plan book and it is quite interesting.  Check it out on the web if you havent yet.  My daughter has only lost the what we think was the water weight, it seems that losing the kind of weight that a person gains from zoloft is kind of stubburn(as we all know).  It is a wieght caused by the sugars and how they are broke down by the body.

Take care and the best to everyone and hope your all moving forward. yeah

Hey guys. I found you!!!!! yeah

Sorry it took so long, but i was out of town this weekend and all last week i had my final exams at school so i was really busy. But i actually went to see my best friend that lives 2 hours away from me. i have not seen her for about 3-4 months and when i saw her she said that i have lost some weight in my face. Then she showed me pictures from the previous time i was visiting her and I really looked swollen in the pics. and i can kind of see a difference, but i still feel fatter now that i have come off the meds. i mean the last time i weighed myself i hadn't gained any weight and my weight is stabilizing, but i have not weighed myself for a week. i will have to go and do that one day this week. But other than the weight i have been feeling really good and have not been experiencing any withdrawls for the most part. So i am happy about that. i have also decided to try the weight watchers diet after the first of the year and i have already gone out and bought the book, so i am ready!!!! i figure i should help boost my metabolism and get the this whole "getting back to normal" thing moving a little faster.

Anyway enough abbout me, how are all of you getting along? Nivram....did you ever go to the Dietition yet? what happend? Mekkie and Jaymay....how are the withdrawls treating you these days? hope to hear from you soon!!!!

Mekkie, my daughter is still complaining on a regular daily basis about hotflashes, its weird to think a 18 year old would be having those kind of side effects.  I give you so much credit along with Allyboo, of staying drug free, I really question the fact of maybe we put her back on something to early and didn't really give the zoloft time to wear off and maybe she could of got over this in time.  You seem to be experiencing the same stuff, I'm sorry!  I know you will make it through, you have great determination!!!  I would love to bring this forum up at her next appointment at the pdoc, this way maybe they would understand alittle more of what people are going through from this med!  We go to the dietition tomarrow, hopefully I will be finding something out to share that will shed some light for everyone on this forum with wieght loss struggle from zoloft! yeah

Take care and I hope tommarrow is a brighter day for everyone and a step closer to being of the side effects from zoloft!  Your all so wonderful and we're thankful for you all! tongue

Thanks guys for your support and kindness...I've been in need of it lately. I think I may try to go off the Zoloft completely in 2006 but I'll talk to my doctor first. We'll see.

I hope everyone is doing well. The cleansing of your system from Zoloft is tough but just remember, every minute that passes is one more minute you are closer to being through the worst part of it. We are all here for you and come here and we'll all try to help each other through.

If I don't get to speak with you all before the holidays...Merry Christmas to everyone!
