Hi HT!

Well, the dahlia that I started in the house has bloomed in the garden!

One of my neighbors does metal scrapping. He told us that if we see something he's picked up that we want, just let him know. Well...yesterday I spotted a huge mirror with metal scrollwork there and asked if he would sell it to me. Apparently, the scrap yard wouldn't take it, so he was more than happy to sell it to me for $40! Now, it is between the 2 adirondack chairs, reflecting my garden and patio set! It's huge and heavy, not likely to get tipped over. So ornate! I'm thrilled!

The town wide yard sale is this weekend. My friend and I are planning to head out early on Saturday. The weather is supposed to be perfect. Last year I bought metal nesting tables, a metal 3 shelf unit that is ornate and of course, the plastic floor tiles that I used for my added patio surface. I hope I am as successful this year.

My outdoor spaces are really coming together! A few of my neighbors have said that they feel like they are in New Orleans when they visit my garden! Quite a compliment for someone in New Jersey!

It amazes me how sunshine can lift me out of a downward spiral!

Well my son has it now and the weather is hot! So now I am worried about my son and his poor little tummy. He is so miserable and so pale. I hear it is a 24 hour bug so I hope he will start feeling better soon, but the next 12 hours are gonna be the worst of it.

Hi,

Thanks Karen. He was very is sick and very fast too. He says he doesn't feel sick anymore just the other end now. My poor guys. Dad, Mom, Myself, and now son have had it. My aunt hasn't so we will see what else happens. I am so worn out. My son has kept fluids down for 4 or 5 hours so I pray he is done with being sick. Time will tell.

Short fuse. Exploded on my daughter.

Saturday, she asked to borrow my truck so she and my grandson could run to the store to pick up toilet paper (after I gave her the money for said toilet paper). I explained that I had 2 huge bags of potting soil on the passenger seat. Long story short...she drove her own car instead.

Today, I see a friend and she gives me 2 bags of coats. I add them to the front seat with the 2 bags of potting soil.

This evening, my daughter comes in from work, I'm on the computer not realizing she drove her bus home. She asks if she can take my truck to run to the store and pick up her meds. Distractedly I say yes. My grandson comes to the front door and asks "What do you want us to do with the bags?"

I explode! She hadn't said anything about him going with her. Now, I have to stop what I'm doing and figure out what to do with the bags of coats and potting soil. So, I'm muttering about it as I haul the stuff out of the truck with her in the drivers seat! She tells me "You need to chill." WRONG THING TO SAY! I tell her to get the f out of my truck. She tells me to stop being a b. I tell her to get the f out of my house! She says I can't throw her out cause she's been paying bills. I tell her I haven't received a dime from her on the rent and Comcast doesn't count.

I'm tired. I'm just so tired.

I have no idea what she does with her paycheck. My Comcast account is a mess. She makes partial payments, late payments...sigh. Sure, she picks up groceries but only half the stuff is what I eat, mostly what she and her son eat. Usually, it's my partner taking me shopping for meats for the month. She buys macaroni and cheese (which I don't eat) other noodle and sauce things (which I don't eat) frozen waffles, pop tarts, hot pockets, (all of which I don't eat).

Last week, I told her it was her turn to pick up canned cat food. My partner and I grabbed 2 cans while out shopping, just in case. Well, good thing we did because she "forgot" and "oh, well". Seriously? While it's true that there is plenty of dry food, we've started feeding canned because the cats are aging and losing their teeth. "Oh, well" doesn't cut it!

This fuse isn't really that short...it's just gotten to the short end. I'm frustrated.

Pitmom- I am sorry that you and your daughter are not doing good. It is hard when you feel like the only one doing anything. Sometimes we just need a break from our loved ones to clear our minds and figure it all out. Maybe her and her son can stay at a friend's place for a few nights until things have calmed down. I hope things get better soon. Try to stay calm. Don't make yourself sick over this as it is not worth it.

Karen- Hi!
HT- Hope you are feeling better hun.

Hi all!

Well my son is feeling better and has his color back, so that is good. He is holding popsicles and water down as of early this morning. It's almost 4 pm here so I am hoping that he is done being sick now. I am still so tired as every move he made, I heard and didn't sleep well. He said that he doesn't feel sick anymore just has poops, but they aren't bad either. He is tired and his neck is sore but that's normal for him not being 100%. I am going to try to nap as my sinuses are killing me again. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy.

many healing thoughts my friends. shrink visit was great. though i don't think i will get too many. uni gigs x2 coming up soon. he said to look at a peer worker position at a new mental health prison. desirable is lived experience of the criminal system. am clean, but the mental health and challenging behaviours experience i have. and some drug and alcohol training and lived in youth work. full time position. closing the 18th. not sure, cv not ready, but could be. hmm, no car license, this desirable, but not mandatory. would i pass the medical, i think so. just!!! time to dispose of the anti-dep. shrink and i agree to wean and go med free, bar the small amount of mirtazapine at night. if it goes bad we will re-introduce the lamictal as it had the best efficacy. he agrees that my brain needs a med break!!!

Dawn, I hope everyone is feeling better.

HT, I hope the med thing gets worked out and you're well.

Myself, I hope the garden is doing well and you're eating all the yummy produce.

Everyone, thanks for putting up with me.

I used my 'angry energy' to clean the kitchen yesterday. Deep clean. It looks great! Only problem is when I 'tilted' the window to clean it, it popped out of the track and I can't get it back in! I'll get some help with it this weekend. Meanwhile, I can't open it.

Today, the dog decided to put a hole in one of the living room screens with her nails and push the spline out at the corner! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!

At least I have more wood and can make another 'frame'. I have more wire mesh and screen out in the shed. Guess I'll be doing another d.i.y. project. The temps are going to climb by the end of the week.

I weeded in the garden and found a 'volunteer' cucumber plant! I've had tomatoes reseed but, never a cucumber! I'm excited! I'm leaving it right where it is and will have to get creative in order to trellis it as it grows. It's in the section I've planted the ever bearing strawberries.

Some of my June bearing are ready to eat. Love this time of year. I plucked some red leaf lettuce to go on my sandwich this afternoon. The peas are very slow to get started, only up about 12 inches. I bought a gardening book at the yard sales which says I can start corn in July to eat in October! Gonna try it!

The greenhouse has become a 'spa' for my indoor amaryllis. I had to remove a shelf to give the leaves room! The cucumbers looked stressed (cool temps) so I cut off the bottom of a cat litter jug, pushed it into the soil over them, took the cap off, instant mini greenhouse! The bottom piece I will put holes in and voila', another tray for more cat grass! If I start a tray a week, Sensei will have fresh grass to munch throughout the summer!

Things are still tense between me and my daughter. She has informed me that she is actively looking for a different place to live and my grandson has started looking for a job (he's 16). They had moved back in with me after she lost her place 'temporarily', which has turned into 4 + years now. Three people, 2 big dogs, 8 cats in a two bedroom, single wide mobile home...sigh.

At least it has stopped raining and the sun is out and getting warmer. The cushions are drying on the patio and I will have more space. The oriental lilies are beginning to bloom and there are buds on the day lilies. I need my garden therapy!

Hi all,

Hope family members are feeling better.

HT so happy for you that doc and you are going for a med free period try. Hope it lasts!!!

Not crazy about you working in a prison, but that is me and my boundaries, has nothing to do with you. Follow where your path meanders!

Peace

Pitmom,

I don't know how you do it all. I get tired just reading about what you do. That is awesome though, maybe I am jealous of your energy...

I hope you have a lovely evening.

Cloudy and cool today, but peeks of sun. I decided to do laundry today and hang it out on the line.

Yesterday turned into 'spray paint day'. I wanted a 'pop' of color with all of the blue and aqua, so decided on 'passion pink'. The metal shelves and side table are now a WOW color! I also sprayed 2 metal baskets that can be placed here and there. My shaded corner has come alive!

I'm fighting the urge to crawl back under the covers for the rest of the day. This chill is bad for my bones.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Boy, it is hot here. Suppose to be hot for a few days and then thunder storms.

I was going to plant beans but it might be too hot for me to do that. I have my baskets outside enjoying the sun but it is starting to get a little windy.

Got my glads in the ground. I hope it isn't too late.

Take care all and have a good day/night for Jamie...

Well I made it through. I got this bug and it was fast in and fast to end as well. I lived one of my biggest fears! I am still not 100%, but I lived through it. This is not a big deal to most but to me it is huge and I wanted to share my news. I am thrilled. Like I said I am not 100% but I am on the mend and I had no anxiety and I am happy.

I hope everyone is well.

Pitmom- I am sorry about things with your daughter and grandson. I understand not a lot of space as I live in a 3 bed 1 bath home 6 people! I am sorry about this all. I hope it all works out.

HT- I hope that your med situation is coming along and you start feeling better soon.

I hope everyone is cool if it is hot and warm if it cold.

Stay safe and happy all

Hi all,

Well the hits just keep coming! I am over the stomach bug, but now I have a uti! Oh my gosh I am so sick of all of this junk! I am sore and with my I.C aka painful bladder syndrome I now bleed every time I get on. Which freaks me out. Then I have to calm myself down and remind my mind that this is now our new normal, ugh! I hate this so much, my bladder is so irritated and sore, I have to go to urgent care tomorrow so I can get an antibiotic and get rid of this and be mostly normal again.

How is everyone else doing? The thread seems pretty slow again. Sad
