Hey Turtle,

Hang in there mate. Things always get a bit better in time.

Making breakfast. Had five rough nights thanks to fire works. Still recooperating.

I hope you all have a good day. Sunny here blue skies for now. Thundershowers and possible hail this afternoon. Good bye garden if so.

Hugs, Karen...

Hi Dawn,

I think any amount of time we don't smoke is good. I am still struggling with it too.

I am sorry your dad got the virus. I hope he will be okay. I imagine it is extra difficult with COPD.

I am glad you feel better and stronger. That is what we wish for.

Have a good day...

Have a good day all...

HT, I hope sleep does not elude you for long. I'm glad your sister is helpful with your mum.

Dawn, I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope you're successful with giving up smoking for good.

Karen, hoping the hail doesn't come and if it does, I hope you don't suffer garden damage.

Good to see everyone today.

My daughter is planning to move clear across the country! I knew the day would come when she and my grandson would leave, I just didn't expect it to be so far. Mixed emotions. While it will be nice to have more room, I can't sit in a car for 2 hours much less a 6 hour flight to where they plan to relocate! She will leave the pets here as moving that far with so many is out of the question and her boyfriend already has 2 dogs there.

On the bright side, there is a medical center nearby that specializes in Cushings. If she can get insurance that they accept it will be awesome!

The cucumbers have flowers finally. The tomato plants all have little fruits forming. The sugar snap peas are yummy. Sadly, something has been eating my strawberries before they are fully ripe so I've only had 2 myself. Waah!

The lily bed is outstanding. Since most of the plants are day lilies, I get a different 'picture' every morning! The fragrance from the tree is intoxicating! Such a colorful yard!

We used the new hibachi for burgers on the 4th and since some fireworks were made legal this year, not only did I get to see some of the 'professional' ones over the treetops, one of my neighbors delighted us with the ones they bought this year, too!

The last two days I helped my neighbor and her sons put up their new shed. I'm in a lot of pain but was happy to lend a hand (and tools!). Now, I need a nap!

Your garden and flowers sounds enchanting Pitmom. Thanks for sharing.

I love lilies. I use to have some called "trumpet lilies" that smelled so good. They didn't do good here though. Probably too cold. But they were tall and beautiful while they lasted. I have some old fashioned day lilies now. I think they were on a farm at one time as they were growing in the woods so I dug some up and planted them in the yard. They kind of take over though, but I like them.

Been hot here today. We had a brief thunderstorm with a lot of rain. Now it is hot and humid again.

Suppose to get more as the day progresses.

Or evening progresses I should say. It is just about 4:00 here.

Take care everybody...

Hello everyone, [I took notes earlier, I am now responding]

I am out of bed today and dressed! Woo Hooo!

Jamie, 02 is glorious thing, take as much as you need mate! Focus on that breath, it will calm and start to help heal.

NO GUILT on you Mom, you did what anyone could humanly do and more. Alot more then deserved I'll lay money on.
Good move on the lamictal, I take 100mg every am, it is a good kick in my combo

Pitmom: your daughters' move sounds as if it may be what she needs, especially with Med Center Specializing in Cushings. This does not mean you will never see her in person again, each day is a new chance. Perhaps as I fight to over come things, YOU TO will over come the issue of flight.

Never say never.

Karen, I know those fire works are rough. Ignorant [I mean this in the uneducated, and do not care to learn way]neighbors do not care the loud bangs [M80's?] about 50 to 75 yards away, trigger migraine, Trigeminal events, PLUS AS you know dogs freaking out, this year we some instant pee accidents do to mavericks age. Poor little guy,

So glad that crap is over

Pitmom I sent you an email regarding floating that was not appropriate for the forum.

Dawn. Congrats on the continued not smoking . Daily short works at "urge times" help. The endorphins released, replace the craving. May your Dad be Well soon.

Peace to all

Hey Trina, sounds like you may be feeling better. I hope so. M80's, bummer, they can be real loud. And destroy things.

I hope your days are getting less painful and that you feel better all the way around.

Hey everybody, I hope that this is a good day for all. Thunderstorm last night, we are sure getting our share of the rain. Which is good, as long as we get some sun too.

Take care all...

Hi all. Hope you're all having good days.

I've been a bit stressed...my mimosa tree is dying...most likely from 'fusarium wilt'...nothing will help to fight this fungus. Waah!

Now, I must turn my attention to figuring out how to create shade so I don't lose the shade loving plants. Sigh.

One sure thing about gardening...nothing is a sure thing!

The difficulty will be that the tree is in the 'dog yard' and it is unlikely I will find a plant/tree that will withstand all of the dog urine and other 'abuse' from them. I will most likely have to 'build' a shade structure rather than have a living shade giver.

Our leases state that "All plantings become the property of the Landlord" and that they must 'okay' anything that we plant to begin with. With only 15 ft separating mobile homes, the trees that would 'fit' the space and my budget are few.

I'm not allowed to sink anything into concrete, other than my clothesline. Sigh. This is going to be challenging indeed.

Pitmom, I am truly sorry for the loss of the mimosa

We had 2 mimosas growing up in the the front yard, very messy. However, I use to image I was a fairy and could float away on the pink blossoms.

Both of them died from that fungus. I remember my mother crying!. That year, I fell under bench swing, on the swing set. 32 stitches in my head. Did mom cry, NO, she yelled at me for 3 days.

darn trees more important. I was glad they died.

Ah, Crap, sorry Pitmom.. nothing personal to you. I just had to get some anger out. Crazy bad nightmares last night, really awful, can't go into detail here.

Plus yesterday 7:30am I was driving my Alley to the vet to get emergency surgery on her mouth. Thank the good L... for rabies shots. She is Whining 3 hours have the pain pill to day.
Stiches in her puppy mouth. I am giving her 1/2 a sominex, it is helping.

Pain level is a 10+. storms on the ways, heat warning 2nd day in row. And my stuff is in high gear.

Still in bed today. Indomethacin at 100mg barely touch the pain. Taking Tylenol with codeine now. Staying in bed for the rest of the day.

Just a "Wendy whiner" lately.
apologies

No worries Trina. Things come and go in my garden all the time.

Sorry to hear of the puppy problem and your pain! Hopefully things will subside quickly.

It's H,H,H here too. Wreaks havoc on me...breathing, swelling, joint pain, etc.

On the bright side, the afternoon storms stay outside thanks to the neighbor helping me put flashing up around the air conditioner.

The Landlord gave orders to the landscape company to cut down 'all weeds' and 'whatever vegetation doesn't belong'. Thankfully, he came and talked with me before touching anything and I was able to convince the Landlord to let me keep a few of the sumac trees that will eventually shade the bedrooms. The trailer park looks much better...for now, till it all grows back!

Found a local retailer that carries 'food grade diatomaceous earth' that I can sprinkle on the cats and dogs for flea control! Yay me! This is supposed to help with ticks and ants too!

Hopefully, better days ahead, for all of us.

Thunderstorms again today. Hopefully we'll finally be out of the 'sauna'.

Daughter is leaving tomorrow for a bus driving competition in Indiana...her first time flying. She will return on Sunday.

Picked up the d.e. today and started sprinkling the pets. Only 2 more cats to go!

H.T., your family is so blessed to have you! Picturing my pit bull with a turtle shell! lol

Hi all,

I am not all caught up I just wanted to check in. Thanks for the well wishes.

Dad came home after 2 nights in hospital. Mom got sick the day before he came home. Gosh man!

The three of us are feeling better. Now my son and niece have it. My son is fine, but we are all worried about my niece as her lungs are weak. Asthma.

I am cramping really bad tonight. Ugh.

Gonna go to bed. Maybe sleep.
