Guys I have good news, since I started being deppresed I would come late or skip some days, but now I reached 5 days with out comming late at work or skiping a whole day. but I'm tiered during the day, and I have trouble sleeping before 3 AM. but no problems waking up for some reason. also I seem to be very buesy at work unlike previewsly.

Do you think this is a good sign? or a bad one?

I'm gona try and keep this up for a month if i can..

That is great Akram!  I am very happy for you...Can I make a suggestion to you?  Instead of setting your goal for a month perhaps set it for a week at a time for now then slowly move it up as you go.  This way your not setting your self up for failure.  Good luck and Take care

Hi Akram,

Good on you Akram, Definitely a good sign, but as Elisha said, Make it a week at a time, and if you fall a little, keep pushing on, making that effort,
i keep missing you on the positive thread, Me and Elisha have decided that you should add a old story from your Culture and i know there are lots of good ones, so could you do that for us, I for one would like to read one, or "some"
Take Care

Hi Akram,
Sorry to embarress you, but think we may have got a big smile from that, well i hope so, and thank you for posting in positive, but what i was meaning was, you have many wonderful traditional stories over your way, and from your culture, i thought you may have one, that you may like to post,
have a great day

I'm very sorry your right.. don't worry i'm not embarased i love to find something closer to what your looking for but its kind of hard for me, because i'm a very bad story teller lol. and i have memory problems too. also i'm a bad joker and have problems understanding jokes my friends make, i don't wana go on about other things ....

anyway i think i wont give up, my grand mother knows a lot of stories like you said. propably my mother as well so i'll try to get you something. should i delete the post? if it is bothering anyone.

Of course not Akram, there is nothing offensive in what you wrote in positive, so no need to delete anything, but thank you if you can find us an old story from your culture, i know a few, but i think its a pleasure to read more and as you are from that tradition, who better to tell it, you have a good heart and Soul, let them tell the story, the rest will follow
Have a good day Akram,

Hi Akram,
you have done so well, and its not a failure, a little set back, and one you can learn from, the more you discover where you stumble, the easier it will be to side step these places, Pat yourself on the back, and good luck next time
Hey now you can buy yourself a harmonica, and make some music

Good on you

Hi Akram,  Your not alone in this at all and please know that you can always find encouragement here with us.  Don't be disappointed with yourself for missing a day of work.  This is why you want to set your goal off small and think okay I'm going to going to work all this week.  Try not to worry so much about next week it comes soon enough... :-)

I failed to come on time today >< I arrived at 1:30 AM and I'm very disapointed in myself for doing it even though my manager said its ok. I just talked to him about it.
So my attempt started 11/june and ended 28/june
june29 is the new start , hope this time i would make it to a month lol.

And els I didn't answer your post, giving myself a present doesn't sound like a good thing to do. I should buy presents to others for something like that. In our culture it's required when youu graduate or something like that , you get your close ones toghether and get them kunafa ( arabic delight ) lol. // thats how we do it^^

You did well for a few weeks Akram...don't be so hard on yourself.  You did good.

I understand about the different culture, and perhaps if you wanted to get others gifts that would be okay but they may wonder why your buying them stuff for no real occasion??  I have always set goals for myself like that going all the way back to when I first went off to school at University of MO.  I would say if I got an 90 or higher in a certain class that may be hard or whatever than I could buy myself the pair of shoes I had been wanting that I didn't want to spend all the money on, or that really great purse.  It gave me incentive to try harder, and I had to stick to my resolve that if I did get below what I set as my goal, I didn't get my reward.  Things are very much different here in the United States though.... tongue
