:-)  UPDATE to my last post on May 19th......

I saw a new psychiatrist yesterday (5-25) and he seemed like he might be able to help me. He even asked me if I wanted to see a therapist instead of just telling me to see one. I thought it was nice to give me the choice. He recommended that I raise my dose of Effexor XR from 150mg to 225mg once a day. I'm willing to try anything at this point. He told me that if I do get tired and dizzy, to try to ride it out for 5-10 days because that's how long it'll take for my body to adjust. I am to go back and see him in 3 weeks. So, we'll see how it goes. I hope he can help me! I'm feeling pretty positive.

Hi there

It's really good to hear how determined you are to get on top of your depression, surely that's the hardest part for some people..coming to terms with it.

Good luck with your new medication routine, hope you feel the benefit soon

:-)  Hi Lynds....thanks for your post regarding my UPDATE. And thanks for the "good luck" too. I am hoping that this does the trick for me. I absolutely cannot stand being depressed! It is the worst feeling in the world. My whole family suffers from depression. I wish it weren't hereditary, but unfortunately it is.
