Sorry to be posting here yet again...
It's just that it's been such a hard year on my physical health. I had a ruptured tendon in my left foot, three eye surgeries (right eye) for a boil that they had a hard time removing. Then an asthmatic attack to a medication (ER) . a Sinus infection and allergy testing. Now my back is hurting and I'm getting an MRI tonight doctor thinks a it's a disk and I can't take any pain medications right now because of the MRI and I hurt. I just want to crwal into a closet and hide for the rest of the year and I don't care... it's all just crazy.. Never had so many medial problems and eye doctor is contpalting a fourth surgery for some scare tissue from last surgery... I feel so guilty and bad. Can't seem to picture a bright side to anything .. wanted to get my daughter a playstation 2 for Christmas but with my medical bill that might be not be possible and it saddens me more... We don't qualify for any assistance. Don't know what to do.... don't want the mri keep thinking of cancelling scared scared not so much of the test but them finding something. Not my year, not my year

I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. It can be alot to deal with, I'm sure. Know that people care for you and love you. I do hope you get to feeling better soon! Post away, it sometimes feels better to get things out.

Hi Chartreux, I am so, so sorry for all your going through....Physicial problems are the pits and I know it is ten times worse when they just keep compounding upon each other.  Please dont feel guilty for posting here at all about it, this is what we are for to help support you.  You said you wanted to get your daughter a playstation 2 for christmas?  Perhaps instead of buying a new one which can still be expensive I know...how about looking at a store like Slackers or Electronics Boutiquic who usually sell used or refurbished ones?  They check them out to make sure they are in good working order, clean them up and sell them for usually half price.  Just an idea for you...

Do the MRI...If you have back pain and your doc thinks its a disk causing it then you need to know and get it treated if possible.  Hang in there and let us know how it goes.  Hugs

Thanks Suzy35 and Elisha
your replies helped. They gave me vicodin for the MRI and I'll be getting my first pain injection next week for L1 thru L4 and muscle and fissure problems with my back. I'm hopeing the pain injections will make it easier for me to get thru the rest of this year, still bummed out a little that I have to rely on something hopeful it won't be for a long period of time. Trying to stay positive that this will be my last medical issue of the year.
Maybe with the Playstation 3 coming out everyone will lower the price on the ps2.
Good luck to y'all and thanks for the replies y'all are so kind yeah

Yes, I made it through what has to almost be my longest weekend yet!!
hurts to walk, hurts to sit and can't sleep on my left side at all and I'm taking tylenol 3.
Feel like a Quarterback after a bad game with lots of hits...
Anyway really hope the pain management clinic will call me tomorrow and can fit me in. just waiting on pins and needles so to speak...
Although if they don't call I don't know how I'll manage, my husband will be out of town on Tuesday and with my luck they'll probably call on Tuesday.
Just gotta be positive, just gotta

Back really hurts, and husband going out of town to a conference, just feel sad.
No one to help me...

No, No, No!  Not an idiot!
Even at our lowest, we still have experiences that can help others - and you also have the compassion to share, to let others know you've been there, done that, and survived.
So sorry about your pain - hope there's help around the corner.

Thanks wmnak,
your right and it was the pain doing most of my talking, went to the pain clinic today, doctor took me off tylenol 3 and gave me a script for Vicodin and it helps a little bit better just somewhat dizzy. On Monday I'll have 4 proceedures done with two of them being spinal injections, don't know what else he'll be doing and the iV is what is freaking me cause they always end up beating me up on the arm and I don't need that with my back pain!!!
Doing better just kinda down, I think the doctor thinks I might have some Arthritis in my back.
somewhat scared....
at least I'll know something on Monday.
Hugs Back at you

I sure understand your anxiety about Monday's appointments!  FOUR procedures seems like a lot.  Oh, well ... maybe there will be relief at the end of the day; there'll certainly be more information available about your situation.  Grit your teeth and be glad it'll be over in a day.

Be gentle with yourself this weekend.  Thoughts and prayers zooming thru the ethers for your procedures.  :-)

Update
I had the pain injections, found out I have Osteoarthritis, Had my first Physical Therapy session today and still in pain but the pain is in a different location now. I did not take a vicodin last night which was a big mistake because I had trouble sleeping due to the pain. I will be taking the vicodin tonight for the pain.
I was also told I might have to go back to get some more pain injections. "what a tangled web we weave".....
just don't know anymore, not getting the big picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
