Here are the lyrics from Black Sabbath's paranoid.  This is exactly how I feel every day now.  Couldn't have written it better myself.  I even had a woman tell at work yesterday,  Why do you walk around frowning all the time?  I just told her that if she had my job she'd be frowning too.

Finished with my woman cause she couldnt help me with my mind
People think Im insane because I am frowning all the time
All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy
Think Ill lose my mind if I dont find something to pacify

Can you help me thought you were my friend
Whoah yeah

I need someone to show me the things in life that I cant find
I cant see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind

Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel and love to me is so unreal

And so as you hear these words telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy life I wish I could but its too late

Hey ya Green...I dont notice myself doing this, but I dont smile.  My grandpa when I was 2 yrs old nicknamed me "the judge" because of it.  What I do notice is when it is time for pictures to be taken or whatever, you know when I have to smile, it is always forced and feels fake.
So yeah I totally get the song...

Hello Green Lantern ( a name I use myself on other forums so I wondered at first if you used to be me!)

Blimey, one or two more of us here and we could start up the Justice League again. tongue

Hello Green - You deserve to smile once in awhile. Do you have a hobby? A beloved pet? A sports activity that you like? I think we've all felt something like this -- it describes "depression" very well. Don't give up.

I get the whole smiling thing. I think I'm smiling but people say I'm not. I just always appear to be frowning. And yet when I do try to smile, all I see is a really goofy looking smile that looks extremely fake. So I get that completely. Appearances can be deceiving.... Happiness is shown not just through a smile. It's in your eyes and how you carry yourself. So don't get hung up on the whole "smile" thing. You can be happy without smiling. Sometimes that's more genuine anyway.

Superman,

I may have been you, I'm pretty confused these days and really can't remember.  I just wish Wonder Woman would show up, we used to have a thing ya know:)

Hopeful,

I've got a lot of those things but just am not interested in them anymore.  I'm one of those that people look and say that guy's got everything, until they find out the real story and then they say I never would hae guessed.

slowlygoingcrazy,

The funny thing is I was voted best smile in my Senior High School yearbook.  Anyway, today I saw the woman that made that comment last week.  I smiled and gave her a big good morning.  I feel a lot better today than when I wrote this post.  Take care.
