After reading your first post, and seeing that you have 3 kids and one on the way,one thing comes to mind..post partum depression (spelling is bad sorry).
You need to get to the doctor and talk to him about it. This is a serious disease and from what I understand it will not go away by itself. Do you have an activies that get you out of the house? Even if if it is just visiting a friend for a few hours.

Hi Cj
Have you talked to your doctor about this? And working nights and sleeping during the day,do your kids go to school? I am just thinking about the overwhelmed feelings you must have with trying to get everything done!

Hi CJ
Wow you are a busy mum...When my children were of school age I worked night shift too..11pm - 7am...looking back I wonder how on earth I coped with it all especially in the school holidays when all I wanted to do was sleep and of course all they wanted to do was play lol. So I used to have two sleeps..sleep when I got home for about 3 hours - get up and cope with the kids - and a sleep before I went to work..and yes I used to get cranky - sleep deprivation sux big time!
Hope you are doing ok.

I havent been able to talk to my doctor but I am also dreading what he is going to say..He might put me on bedrest because I have been having really bad doubling over pain since I started back. I went to the emergency room but they said it was stretching on top of having 3 csections. But I go to work at 9 pm to 7 am (waitressing) come home and go to bed until about 430 or 5. My hubby is with the kids all day and I eat dinner with them and tuck them in bed and go back to work. My oldest goes to school the other two are too young..I get him ready in the morning when i get home..Yes very busy. I get overwhelmed a lot but i just sit in my room and breathe and start again..otherwise i will start losing my temper on everything.. I also saw on this site about thyroid problems..once i get my medical insurance back I am going to get checked. On thing that has bothered me is with every kid I get smaller.. My first kid I was 115 lbs and im 5'1 so that was normal after i had him my norm weight was 100-105..After I had my second kid I went down to 96-100 then i had my 3rd and my norm weight was 93-95..People say I am lucky but I dont think that is normal so I dont think Im lucky...wouldnt that be a sign of overactive thyroid with the depression and everything?

Cj..I am no medical prof. but my advice is go to the doc when you can...sort all your medical issues out so you haven't got all these things churning in your mind so much and you can work towards feeling better..because if you don't look after you - you can't look after everyone else eh?
Take good care.

Hey CJ,
Sorry you are having such a difficult time.  Standing on your feet all that time can make your body go haywire, especially your spine, feet, and stomach muscles.  I would suggest seeing a orthopedic doctor to begin with.  I can also see where your weight issues come from.  First, you walk around for hours a day, bending, lifting, carrying food around is just like dumbbells.  You are expending more calories than you are consuming.  From your explanation of your life, it sounds like you only eat once a day.  You can't expect to maintain your weight, much less gain any if you don't consume more calories.

Your current weight is getting to that dangerously low level, where it can effect other organs.  The fact that you sleep almost all the time you aren't working, says that your body doesn't have any spare energy(calories) to expend.  Working or sleeping all the time is no way to have a life.  You are so lucky to have a great family.  You need to make an effort to consume more calories whenever you can, so you can have more energy to spend with your family.  Sneak in weight gain shakes, with protein, whenever you get the chance, while in the car, on a break, or even have one open and ready to take a swig between customers or picking up orders.  You can find them easily at your local grocery store, even at Wal-Mart.  You will probably feel better almost immediately.  You still have to make an effort to see a doctor about your pain problems.

Good luck to you, and let us know how you are doing.  We care.

HI thanks for the reply. But I have been having the weight issue thing pretty much all my life just when I have kids is when my weight goes down..I was in the police academy and drank shakes(gain weight enusre) before every meal, PT'd every other morning and sat in a classroom all day and ate more than 3 meals ( i am also hypoglycemic) so I eat more than once a day..Just since I have been pregnant this time I havent been able to really eat..but i did all that for 6 months but my weight stayed the same..thats y it concerns me no matter what i dont gain weight..ive actually been accused of being a meth head because im so skinny, that hurt but i can see y people would think that
