Hello everyone, its been a while since i've  posted here. I wanted to ask if anyone is taking ABILIFY  for a mood disorder? I was put on lamictal first, but I couldn't take it, so they changed my med. I haven' been diagnosed with bipolar, just a mood disorder, which from what the Dr. has told me is right under bipolar. I also take zoloft for depression and klonopin for anxiety. I have taken these for several years. But since I have been sick the last 5 years, my depression is worsening. I also have hypothyroidism and I think that effects my moods as well. Thank You for listening in advance tongue . I would appreciate any information on this medicine!

Hi hope, I have never taken Abilify but I have had clients that I worked with that did.  It is a fairly new drug and yes, it is for mood disorders and has shown to work pretty well.  I havent seen anyone post on this board that they are taking this med....so I have looked up this site for you so perhaps you can get some information from there.
It is the official Abilify web site so I would think they are pretty accurate.  Also you may want to post about this over in the bipolar forum as I imagine that someone over there is taking this med and you may get a response (hopefully).  I know you have been though so much with your heart problems and all and it is difficult to not be affected by all that.  Just remember you have to take care of all of you body, mind and spirit.  We are always here for you so post whenever you like.
Hugs :-)
