I had a massive panic attack yesterday. I am still feeling the after effects today. This was the biggest panic attack I have ever had. Anyway today I just feel really depressed and so teary eyed. Everything is bothering me. I feel sick as well in my chest etc, and I guess its just all piled up. No one where I am seems to understand what happened yesterday and they are not there for me, so I feel quite alone here with these feelings. So I thought I would type in here.

Hi weepingwillow
Sorry to hear you had a little setback..but hey you survived, and just like when you fall off your pushbike - you gotta dust yourself off and get on with life again regardless :-)
P/As are the bodys way of saying 'eek..time to slow down and have a rethink!' We have to ask ourselves if there is something going on in our lives that we need to change?..have I gotten into the bad habit of 'over thinking' again?...do my meds need readjusting a little? etc.
It doesn't really matter whether anyone else understands whats going on with you or not (always nice when they do tho) but the fact is that we are each responsible for our lives..take some positive action 'weepingwillow' and move on.
Keep us posted ~ glad you were able to reach out for help here at HW..

Hi Willow
I agree with Jordan,panic attacks are the bodies way to say slow down.
The last one I had was about 3 weeks ago after we had a garage fire,and lost both cars.
I had tried to be strong,and positive for my b/f but when I went back to work and was just sitting there trying to relax it hit me. And boy was it a doosier! It last from 11am to 6am the next day. Then I was physically sick after that and just want to lay down and cry!
I know it is because we hold things in for so long and our bodies can only take so much.

I hope you are feeling better and that those nasty panic attacks stay away.

{{{{{{{{WeepingWillow}}}}}}}}}}}

Never having had any panic attacks, I don't know what you are going through, except some of the last bit where you said you felt that people around you don't understand and are not being "there" for you.

Bummer!

We are here for you, though.

Panic attacks are awful and I know how difficult it is to get back on track after having one. Don't be afraid to have a big cry to get it all out of your system, perhaps even listen to a sad song and provoke the tears...I know it sounds morbid and ridiculous, but it's the release that your brain needs. All your feelings have welled up and your body has to release it all somehow. It's so difficult but keep telling yourself that the low will past, because soon it will and things will get a bit brighter.
