Sick of this horrible feeling!

Hi everyone, Just writing a post as I am at work and finding it hard to not cry at the moment-I don't know why??! . I keep waking up everyday feeling the same -weird, not myself ,in a way empty and just plain rubbish. Its like living in groundhog day, and I hate it. Why won't this go away?  How do I get rid of these weird feelings and get back to being me again?? Any answers are greatly appreciated!

I am sorry you feel this way, but I know that feeling all too well. I wish I had advice for you but I dont know, I cant deal with my own stuff right now so I cant offer advice but HUGS!!

Have you contacted your doctor yet?
I really think it is time to talk to them. You need to be able to wake up everyday and not feel like this.

no not yet i cant get an appoitment this week. Im sick of this it really putting a strain on my relationship, which is what I am most conerned about. Its driving me insane! Its making me feel distanced from him and like hes a stranger! Can it get better? Or is our relationship doomed, I will fall to pieces if it does

You're relationship is not doomed. Do you know what has caused you to feel this way or has it just come up on you? Try and make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can and talk it over.
Please don't let this depressed feeling come in between you and your partner. Try to talk to your partner about how you are feeling and be honest. I have found that talking and being honest helps. When we are feeling depressed, we can sometimes push away the people who are most close to us without realising it.

scotsgal, does your morning funk eventually clear up as the day progresses? I ask because there are those of us, and I am included in this group, whose depression/anxiety is at its worse in the morning, and then levels off. Other people, "sundowners", are just the opposite, and start going into a funk in the evening. I only just recently got a job, but when I was unemployed, mornings were.the.worst.

Depression has its own peculiar melancholy structure, which varies from person to person.

scotsgal i hope you are feeling a bit better by now , you need to discuss the feelings you are having with your dr and your psychologist, you may have to try a different medication as the current one isn`t working even with the increase but then also it may take a bit longer for your body to adjust to the increase i know with me the last increase took eight weeks before i noticed a change . Your pscyhologist might be able to give you some mental exercises to do to get you through certain feelings you are having .Take care will chat soon ....Restless

Oh dear..mornings really are awful when you are feeling Low..the good news is when you seek help for all this eg. doctors visit, meds and/or counselling/therapy - it Does go away..thank goodness! tongue When I have been low like you are just now I find it hard to like anyone esp. those closest to me (poor husband)..and even tho I know they mean well it just seems there are too many 'ick' feelings going on in my head!

Sometimes it's a good idea to change your morning routine - praise yourself for positive thoughts and actions - pamper yourself a little..maybe a visit to the hairdresser etc. sometimes us woman are so busy caring about others we forget about ourselves - even just exchanging a smile with someone helps sometimes :-) Please seek help with all this soon.

I am worse in the morning when I wake for work. It is mostly a feeling in my stomack. And nervousness. But I get it throughout the day too.
