Okay here's my rant:  Had appointment last week with cardio, everything was"benign".  After suffering from palpitaions for years I decided - enough, I will live my life ignoring them (everyone says they're benign!!!!).

I go to the gym and I swear that my heart "stopped".  Is that benign!!!  Now I feel like I'm back to square one:  worrying, confused and feeling sorry for myself.

Thanks for being there.

Hi Maxx

I am wondering what symptoms you displayed to make you think your heart stopped? Did you pass out? Were you hyperventilating? Sheesh that must have been sooo scarey as is anything that concerns our heart!

I guess the bottom line of all this is that we have to trust our health professionals and leave our anxiety behind so we can move on in our lives. I go thru patches where I get chestpain and believe me it's no easy task convincing oneself that it's only stress cousing this..and yes I have been there done that with tests too!

Keep us posted.

Hi Maxx

Have you ever been treated for anxiety and panic attacks? I am not sure it is as simple as that, but I would also contact your doctor and let them know what went on. Better safe than sorry
