I don't mean that you feel alive but just exist. Continue you to breath but with no purpose? I am not suicidal but feel like I am just here and no one could care less if I were or not.
We can respond to irritation with a smile instead of scowl, or by giving warm praise instead of icy indifference. By our being understanding instead of abrupt, others, in turn, may decide to hold on a little longer rather than to give way. Love, patience, and meekness can be just as contagious as rudeness and crudeness.

Yes I feel that way right now.  I just posted on the CD.  So let me ask, how do you know its depression we are feeling or is it the CD.  Just fatigued, achey everywhere & just cannot function.  Just want to sleep or sit & do nothing.
Dx with CD 1987, 3 resections, 3 abcess sx, OA back & hips, bulging disk, depression/anxiety, kidney stones & sx to remove, now 44 yrs old.  Still trying to figure this disease out & of course all the little extra complications that come with this rollarcoaster of a life with CD. I love BON JOVI MUSIC- Keep the Faith; Living on a Prayer, It's My Life
Meds:  Imuran .75 daily,xanex .25 nightly(prn in the day), prozac 60 mg daily, Lortab 7.5/500 x 3x, fish oil, fovia,vit e,folic acid,Vit B12,inject monthly

I know that I am in a flare now too so that could be part of it, but there is still plenty of depression to. My GP said that it is very possible the "situational depression" is due to the meds taken for CD. All I know is I just want to sit and cry. Pretty shameless for a 47 year old man.

Randy, there is no shame in feeling what you feel. Life is tough sometimes that is just reality. My hubby is 50, having the mid-life crisis of all crisies and I say go ahead and have a wingding cry. It really is restorative and can vent all that frustration. Meantime you are checking into the other stuff that you need to pay attention to.

When I was in hospital with depression I felt like this every day. It will get better - I know thats easy for me to say and you probably find it hard to believe but it will.
There is nothing wrong in admitting that you feel this way. Be open about your feelings.

Take care hun x

I go through this alot,I am fighting myself at the moment on going back to meds because I don't see a bright future and too feel like I just exist and go through the motions.
Nothing shameless about it. And I admire you for being able to express yourself that is for sure.

But,I will tell you that I believe you don't just exist that you have alot of people that love and care about you.
