I am currently on 60 mg Cymbalta and have been for over a year.  It works well fo rme except that every afternoon around 5:30 I want to (and sometimes do) want to go to bed.  I try to only nap for an hour but could stay in bed longer.  IS THIS A COMMON SIDE EFFECT?  My shrink doesnt know why this happens and has only suggested that I try taking the Rx earlier in the day.  That doesnt help even taking it at 8AM.  DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?  Note: I am also taking LAMICTAL 150mg but the problem predates my taking the Lamictal.

thank you.

Hi Buckheadman
Welcome to the forum I am very glad that you found us,and I hope you will find the support you are looking for.
I have never taken Cymbalta, but I know alot of our members are taking it,or have..so I am sure you will get alot of responses.
I do know that while I was on any anti depressant the sleeping was a problem with me too.
If it continues and is a major problem, I would contact your Dr and see if he can get you something else.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I take it at bedtime, along with most of my other sedating pills. I sleep like the dead and rarely have a 'hangover' in the morning.
