Hi :  I am new to the forum, but have been dealing with depression for the past 13 years.  I first took prozac in 1994, the a few years later went on to zoloft.  I am in counseling and the therapist suggested I see  a group which deals solely with medication issues.  There is a psychiatrist and specially trained nurse practitioners.  Anyway, went from Zoloft 150 to 200 (max daily dose) because I was having difficulty getting out of bed; constantly feeling blue, etc.  Anyway, the 200mg. has made me agitated and irritable, and diarrhea..isn't that nice?  So anyay, the practitioner said if the 200 of zoloft failed I would switch to cymbalta.  Has anyone been through this? Feeling alone and like a loser today.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum I am very glad that you found us,and I hope you find the support you are looking for here.
I have not tried cymbalta, but have been on several different types of meds.
I too had the same problems, but after taking it for a few weeks found that they went away.

Keep in contact with your doctor and let them know anything side effects you experience.

Good luck and keep us posted.

do your research first. Not to scare you away from Cymbalta, but so you'll be aware of some of the side effects and can adjust.
