Can't find the trick to jump start weight loss

Silly : the drugs I take to care for my mood have made me take on weight, more than what is healthy.
Changing my current drug regimen is not option : these babies seem to do the trick. Also, I have to say a drug like Topamax (reputed for it's weight loss effect) allowed me to lose some pounds but over time, the weight came back on.
I KNOW I have to loose weight. I KNOW I can change my eating habits and I KNOW simply walking regularly would help.
I've tried keeping a diary of exercises, diet. In the past, a few years ago, it helped greatly but I just can't get started or if I do, I can't keep going.
No friends around me to help motivate. Going to the gym is not within my budget and social anxiety erases any option in a group setting.
Help, help ! I know exercise would help my mood. I also know doing a little would make me feel so good and remember that can keep me going for a while. But I just can't seem able to get that fire started.
Tips anyone ? Something, a little nothing I can't come up with but would help. Your suggestions will receive my full attention.

start out slow and do little things to help motivate yourself. take the tv controler and leave it on the tv this way you have to get up and change channel. (if you watch alot of it) put the phone in the other room (same thing your gonna have to get up and answer it) if you dont like the social setting do some excersizes in your living room. jog in place for a bit to get started maybe do a few sit ups or walk around your house. sometimes the smallest things can motivate a person. even if its just getting up and walking around the block or to a corner store and buy a piece of fruit or some veggies for a snack.:)

I have a similar issue, the meds I am on have been making me gain weight and also making it hard for me to lose weight too.  Most of it is water weigh anyway, but I also need the meds.
I just walk a lot 30 to 60+ minutes a day (since i do not have a car I have no choice but to walk).  If it is possible for your to walk instead of driving somewhere, I would.
Since it is starting to get hot, maybe go to the mall and walk around while browsing.  As long as it is not a place of temptation.  Going for hikes, or going on a bike rides are other options.  At least this way you will save money on gym fees. 
Plus every time is gets to easy, just push yourself to another mile, or 15 minutes.  That's a start.
I would also try drinking more water, I have realized the more I drank the less hungry I get.
