I have been depressed for so long now and it seems to get worse. I have been through so much and still do. I lost my sister, r**e, my mom is an alcoholic, I suffer from an eating disorder, was in an abusive relationship, etc. I have panic and anxiety attacks, mood disorder, social anxiety, and severe depression. My family does not really bother with me because I wont accept my moms alcoholism. I really dont have anyone to turn to. I did do therapy but I cant afford it now. I tried anti depressants but I cant take them. I am tired of crying all the time. I am tired of being alone in this world. Nobody seems to care how I feel. I reached out so many times and nobody reaches back. What do I do?

All I have done is changed the post from BLOCK CAPS to Mixed Caps. (See rule #14: http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=46&m=106997) There is no change to the wording at all except I added the word "mom" in the second sentence since it seemed to be missing and it didnt make sense without it.

I am so sorry you are struggling. I wanted you to know that someone cares but I am so tired from a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng day at work and my own issues that I can't offer much advice right now.  But I do care that you are having such a hard time. sad

Hi 27 Roses

I am so sorry you are having this experience. I am also new here but I want you to know you have found a wonderful place to hang out, get information and support. I have been here only about 2 weeks and have already made some wonderful friends, done some serious sole searching adn even made a little progress. I have learned so much, I would really encourage to read around on the site, at the recources. I have some of the same issues you do, I dont have access to medical care and have an incredibly disfunctional family - I have depression, constant pain from arthritis and a few other fun problems.

But please dont give up, be encouraged - better days are out ther for you...

Can you seek assistance for medical care? Many programs base the fee on your income.

peace be with you....

Hi there 27Roses and Welcome to HealingWell! yeah

I am so glad that you have found us. If you are looking to reach out to someone who is just going to listen and give you honest advice then you have come to the right place. When you say you can't take AD's... is this an allergic thing? If so then there is probably one out there you can take since there are so many. I hear so many times on HW about people that start therapy and then cannot afford it. I assume you are not from the UK? Does your local hospital have financial aid? If the therapy was working then perhaps it would be a good idea to look into financial aid where you are.

I hope you find all the help and support you need here. There is no shortage of people with experience and advice.

Big Hugs

:-)  Welcome 27roses~
As you will find this is a great place to find support and acknowledgement of what you are going through.  As you have obviously have observed, we all experience depression in different stages and everyone understands that our own depression is not less or more than others here.  depression is a horrible thing to deal with and we are all in this together.

Keep the faith and know that we are here for each other.

Roses

I too want to welcome you to the forum,I am very glad that you found us and I am sure you will find the support that you are looking for.

I am so sorry that you are feeling so much pain.

Have you tried your local hospitals? I do not know where you are from, but here we have the county hospitals which have financial aid programs. I would contact them and find out what you need. Pick one that has a pharmacy because if you qualify for the program then you can get your meds either free or at a very low cost.

Please keep us updated and stay strong.

If you can't tolerate prescription meds have you tried natural remedies like St. John's Wort, SAM-e, Rhodiola Rosea, and 5-HTP? I could not stand Zoloft so I quit taking it and have had much, much better results with Rhodiola Rosea! Give it a try if you can. Check out this thread for more info:

roses,

saying that you "have done" ads but "not taken" them is like saying that you always shower fully dressed and wearing a rain coat. a agree with the other posteers here, there undoubtedly is some remedy, drug or organic, that will help, but you have to take the steps to get you there.

this is a great site and a wonderful forum. you will always be accepted here with love and healing. also try the chat rooms - just find one that is occupied and walk right in. you will always find someone to talk with.

I did not say that I have done them and I did not take them. I said that I have tried then, meaning I have tried so many brands that are out there, and I cant take them because of the reactions that I have. Please read my posting again because that is not what I said.

I have edited this as it is all in BLOCK CAPS not Mixed Case. We do not allow posts in full block caps since it is considered to be rude and is shouting. (See rule #14: http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=46&m=106997) I am not sure whether you do it out of habit but I would ask you not to do this in future. You may also want to look through the Forum Rules (Follow link) and familiarise yourself with them.

Hi Rose, I just joined this group and saw your post. My heart goes out to you as I also deal with these type of feelings. I found a church nearby and now I don't know what I would do without the people I have met there. I wish I could give you a big hug. Hang in there.
