This is OT:

I took my new family up to spend the 4th with my parents in Salt Lake City. A huge wildfire has closed Interstate 15 several times and blocked the main way back to Phoenix. 283000 acres burned and still totally out of control. I feel sorry for the people evacuated from their homes, the loss of life human and animal, and the loss of their habitat. I am stressed to the max because I need to get back to work but the Utah State Police advise people not to travel in the area unless necessary.

Please remember this in your prayers. Not for me, but for so many people who are refugees from nature. Thanks all!!

We can respond to irritation with a smile instead of scowl, or by giving warm praise instead of icy indifference. By our being understanding instead of abrupt, others, in turn, may decide to hold on a little longer rather than to give way. Love, patience, and meekness can be just as contagious as rudeness and crudeness.

Home safe and sound. Drove right thru the burned area and it is horrible. Floods in the midwest, drought in the west, killing heat in the east. The whole country needs our prayers.
