Hi Guys,

There has been talk amongst a couple of members about having a regular webchat session for the Depression forum. What do other people think about it? Vote on the poll, have your say and we will go from there.

Looking forward to your responses

Darren

I like the idea.
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change

And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hand
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it’s got nothing to do with me

Hi Guys,

The initial response to this looks good with 90% wanting a chat. I am going to wait until Sunday so that eveyone has a chance to vote as well as giving me time to sort something out if the uptake is good.

Keeping you up-to-date.

Darren

Hi Guys,

EXCITING NEWS!!! Depression webchats are now here! I am going to host 1 on Monday 30th July and 1 in a fortnights time. (Unsure of date yet as my work schedule changes from week to week) If these prove to be successful then I will host a further 2 on a fortnightly basis. If all goes swimmingly after all 4, we may be able to schedule them without having a MOD in there every time. The schedule for Monday 30th is:

1900 - 2100 --> BST Time Zone (UK, GMT +1)
1000 - 1200 --> Pacific Time (US Western States)
1100 - 1300 --> Mountain Time (US Mountain States)
1200 - 1400 --> Central Time (US Central States)
1300 - 1500 --> Eastern Time (US Eastern Time)

If there are any mistakes in the time zones (and there have been before!) please let me know so that I can correct them, but I think I may have it sussed this time!

Thank you all for your patience in waiting for this to happen... I hope to see you all on Monday!

Darren

To get to the chat rooms just click on the word CHAT on the thin blue bar above, choose whichever room you want to go into and log in. It's that easy. You don't have to go only to the depression room, go to any room where there are people and they will always welcome you.

Chutz is right, you dont have to stay in Depression. You can break free to other areas and people with still chat with you. We are all very friendly! lol Sorry I forgot to include instructions on how to get ot the chat room... but I think Chutz has covered that one now! lol

Hi Guys,

Todays chat is still going ahead but there is a chance that I might not be there, since my computer is playing up and my dad might hijack it to fix it. If that happens, I will try and get the laptop online. If I cant manage that: a) Im a silly sausage and b) you will need to make a note of any abuse you get.

In the event of an unmoderated chat, you all act as your own moderator, so to speak. All you need to do is note the time, your time-zone and name of the person abusing you. I can then get admin to look through the chat log and take appropriate action. Just send the info to me and I will take it from there (Obviously incuding your screen name as well).

If you have any questions, please ask. The times for the chat are 4 posts up (in bold red... you cant miss it!)

Take Care

Hi Darren.

Little did I know that my initial request to have a depression chat would generate so much response.

Thanks so much for putting so much work into this.  Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the chat time that you scheduled on the 30th.  But I will keep looking for your announcement for another time and date.

Thanks so much for listening.

Cass

Hi cassandralee,

You are very welcome. All it takes is for someone to have an idea! As you may know, i missed it too (see other thread) but am looking to set another up shortly. Hopefully I will know when by the weekend... watch this space!
