Hello to all,

My Dr. swichted me from cymbalta right to zoloft.  I am doing o.k., but I wonder if this is good or not?  When you are switching medicine does it take the same amount of time to be effective?  I think it has been a week and a half or two weeks now.  I am just wanting to feel better and I feel a little better, but nothing significant.  If anyone can help answer these questions I would confused really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Afloat

Hi there,

There is no hard and fast answer since peoples bodies metabolise meds at a different rate, but generally I would say to give it 4-6 weeks before you get the full effect. Your body has to get rid of all the Cymbalta that is floating around as well as building up your levels of Zoloft.

I hope this helps

Thank you both for all the info.  I guess I am a bit impatient with meds working.  I'm just tired of the process I guess.  Well I really appreciate your help and advice.

Take care,

Joe,

Hi, are you on a natural regimine that is working for you?, if so I would like to know what it is.  It is not my intention to stay on meds long term, just temp.  I prefer to go about it in a natural way if possible.  Any info would be great.

Thanks,

Afloat
