Hello,

I am new to this forum and wanted to get some feedback.  I am a long-time suffer of anxiety/depression.  I used to take Effexor and it worked well for a few years but then stopped helping me.

My doctor recently gave me 10MG worth of Lexapro.  I have been taking it now for 11 days and really don't feel much better (yet).  I also am taking a low dose of Xanax to help me (in the meantime).

How long does it typically take to see any results?  2-4 weeks?  I will see my doctor on Friday and I am scared to do 20MG.

I don't think I've had any major side effects yet, but my sleeping was so-so for a few days.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

Welcome to the forum,I am very glad that you found us.

Most meds take 4-6 week to take full effect. If after that time you are still not seeing the results, then contact your doctor and let them know. Sometimes it takes a few tries with different meds to find the right one that works for you.

Please keep us updated.
