yes I was in the service I got bad blood during 1 of the two operations. I got hepatitis c which they got rid of in around 2005 by had stage 4 liver damage. but they said that my liver could get better and I could live a full life. so I prepared to go back to work. I went threw a class with voc rehab for about a week I was fine. Than monday came around, and I just was so tired I could not get out of bed, so I said to myself I will stay home today and go tommarow and not miss another class, but nexst day I was to tired to get up so I ended up sleeping 3 days before I felt good. I looked on the sideeffect stage 4 liver damage it said you could be tired and weak. so put a claim in against the army. been trying to get up in the morning on a rutine for about a year, but i wake up and say why get up. I want to go back to work im broke and my parents dont really care about me. someone suggest I see a doc and try depression meds will that help. ill do anything, I feel happy but just dont want to get out of bed theres nothing for me to do. am I just being lazy while trying to work myself into a rutine or do you ppl think im depressed. thanks

Hi Austin and Welcome to HealingWell!

It is true that wanting to stay in bed and having very little energy is associated with depression but that could be associated with so many other things as well. If there is a decreased red cell count in your blood, that can cause tiredness and lathergy, as can decreased liver function. The best thing is to see a doctor and ask him to do some bloodwork to see if there is a physiological cause. In particular your red cell count (FBC) and liver function (LFT).

I hope this helps

Darren

First off all I want to thank you for your time in the service. You all have had to go through so much, and so many are still going through the horrors of war.
I can only imagine what they remember and will always have nightmares about.

Darren has given you great advice,I would get myself to a doctor right away. If your symptons are not the cause of the liver damage, then you can talk to them about it possible being depression.
The only way to ease your mind is by going to the doctor.
I am so sorry for what you have been through, getting bad blood because you were injured just makes me sick!!

please keep us posted and stay strong.
