I was just wondering what the signs of depression are.  I was diagnosed with crohn's in april 2007.  I had my first child in 2002. then in 2004 presented symptoms like crohn's but was diagnosed with ibs.  since 2004 i have had 2 more children.  After my first child i was put on a low dose of zoloft for the "baby blues".  i only took it for a week.  My anger seems to have gotten worse and i don't really leave my house much anymore.  I don't do the things i used to and really just want to sleep, which could just be the crohn's.  I'm not able to tolerate situations well...i absolutely don't do well in social situations where i feel i might get embarrassed.  To be honest i scream and yell all the time and cry a lot.   I feel disconnected all the time, forget things, and when i get upset and yell i get hot and feel really strange.  I Should i talk to my doc about this??

Hi Chrissy

I would suggest you see your doctor sooner rather than later - if you do have a problem you need help with, the sooner you get on top of it the sooner you'll feel better and the sooner your kids will see a happier mum.

I've added a link to Moodgym which is a great tool for giving you strategies to deal with emotional issues http://moodgym.anu.edu.au/

Alot of peoople have found it useful, maybe you will too.

Best wishes

Deb
