Is she being treated for the eating disorder? That is the first step in healing. She has got to inform the doctor about
that, then they will watch what meds they put her on because alot of them will cause an appetite decrease and that is not something she should be dealing with right now.
She has got to look at her environment and figure out what is causing the depression and anxiety issues. Counseling is a major step, especially with an eating disorder.
They might want to put her on some type of combo for her different issues, the combo that worked for me the best was tranxene, wellbutrin and paxil. But remember I was in hard depression and would not eat for days before they finally put me on all of that.
I still struggle everyday with all of my issues, and it would be so much easier to just pick up the phone and start my meds again. But,being med free is something that I had to do. It is not the right choice for everyone and it took me about
20 years to be able to get to that point.
Good luck with her,and keep us posted ok?
