i went on zoloft about 8 months ago while I was 7 months pregnant. After having my baby I went from 50 mg to 100mg. The weight would not come off! I am an athletic gal, but no matter what i would do nothing worked. i finally went to a diifer doc and asked to put on phetermine. I went in weighing 163 (at 5'7) and lost only 10 pounds in like 2 months. Anyone who knows this medication knows that you can drop weight super fast on it. i am still on pheternmine and zoloft and have only lost 6 pounds since, I decided to go off the zoloft, I is the only logical thing I can think off.......or that may be my crazy side-effects saying that! Please pray for my husband!!!! I get irritated, crabby, i cry, I get very short tempered, throw things.........this zoloft bites if you ask me. hope i gave you some good info.

I added a subject line so that you would get more responses.

My dr. suggested Zoloft for me since I was slender and had no problems with weight.  Now I am hungry all the time and food looks sooo good to me and did I mention desserts?  I have never enjoyed eating and only tasted sweets.  I have gained 15 lbs this year which is NOT good.  She said I could switch to Prozac if I had a problem w/Zoloft.  Guess I will have to discuss this as I have also cut back on calories to no avail.

Hi Everyone!!! I wondered if there was still anyone writing about this weight gain issue on the boards! I haven't been here in a while.

Well, I am still fast and sassy. I have cut down on my zoloft intake (from 150 - to 50 mg?). I haven't lost any weight though. Does anyone out there know if cutting back will help the weight issue? I really can't stand to look at myself in the mirror! I live in a small town area and I rarely go anywhere where i'll see people that know me from before. Iit's soooo embarassing!) I go to work and come home, fix dinner, watch a little tv, go to bed. I know my husband doesn't find me attractive anymore. Poor guy, why would he?

Anyway, I am looking for more ways to try to get this weight off. I sorta tried hoodia; didn't really see any appetite suppression there. I can't take caffiene related drugs since I also have high pressure and take medication for that.

So, I would appreciate any suggestions that anyone might have at this time. Please!!!!

Thanks for listening! Robin
