Looking out onto a beautifully sunny day, I feel numb.  It's as though the sunlight can't seep inside my cocoon.  Nestled for comfort and warmth pondering what it all means, I can't help to think it's partially due to the isolating turn my life has taken.  I'm at the point in my life where most folks are married with kids and I'm not.  It's not that I wouldn't like to be someday, I just haven't found that special someone yet.  But, instead of sitting around and waiting for Mr. Right to gallantly ride up on his white horse, I'm in the process of buying a house.  It's stressful and a lot of work learning about the ins and outs of morgages, interest rates, first-time home buyer programs, and the like.  It's overwhelming at times and at the moment I could really use a hug.  Unfortunately, there is no one here to do just that.

I know a little of what you are feeling and I understand.  I see you are purchasing a home.  I have been in real estate lending for over six years.  If you have questions about the process, I would be more than happy to help you understand the process.  I can give you an unbiased opinion so that you'll be able to relax when it is finally time to sign the papers.

I understand how it feels! Things can just be so overwhelming.  I am 27 years old and all of my friends have kids and are married.  I know I still have time, but it seems like I am feeling pressure when I go to a wedding or a christening because everyone asks the same questions:What aren't you married?  How come you don't have kids?"  When in reality, I am just not ready for children.  Not even sure if I could be married. I know you are sick of feeling alone but your time is coming soon.

Buying a house though, is a great thing to do.  You are making a wise investment and you will finally have a place that is truly yours. Like everything else in life, when your turn comes, it will happen.  Just have faith in YOU because you are the key to your happiness.  It is taking me a long time to get the hang of it too.  I just need to be nudged along the way, as do you.

Peace.

Thanks for your understanding and compassion Sad-Faced Girl! It's greatly appreciated and just what I need! Since, I had little energy or little interest in being around others yesterday I spent my time researching neighborhoods, figuring out how much home I could comfortably afford, what type of loan would work best for me, determining which first-time home buyer programs are in my best interest, and the different lenders in my area that work that offer the first-time home buyer programs that I qualify for. I feel much more comfortable now with having all of that done! :) It's another beautiful day, the sun is just coming up and I'm actually excited about it, unlike yesterday where I just couldn't pull myself together to get out of bed. Thanks for the support! :)
