I see you have been on many meds and med free for quite a while, I was given Klonopin for panic (honestly it saved my life) but have been on and off for 2 years!  And for 9 months mostly on, especiallly last 4 months, since I tapered off, probably too fast and either had withdrawl or rebound, I don't know.   I have learned that I can not try to be free of this medication when things in my life are in flux, I stopped taking it (tapered over about 12 days) at the same time I purchased and moved into a new condo, I think that was a bad idea.  Trying not to take it only seems to make me take more...I am in a loop.  How did you become med free and live a normal life?  I feel sometimes like the only way to break the cycle is to not have any change in my life...which is obviously not reality.  Thanks!

Basically I had to move to a different town to get away from my X,I had to find a different job and continue with therapy.

My very first counselor told me that the only way I was going to get better was by changing my environment.
But,I still struggle everyday and it would be very easy to go to the doctor and ask for help. In fact I would probably be happier if I did that.
I became addicted to the meds. At times I would take more than prescribed when I felt that I could not make it another hour without the next dose.

Getting off of meds is a huge deal both mentally and physically. It is something that you have to prepare your mind for,and make sure you have support for the physical and mental symptons you will be getting.

I also want to add, that taking meds does not make you a weak person, life today is hard and walking around being miserable inside and not asking for help is just plain crazy these days.
