thanks to everyone whos been responding to my posts and such and giving me advice. at this point-all i really have is you.

i was going to a therapist and i couldnt of felt more comfortable talking to her, but recently she got kinda rude and attitude-y with me and it was a turn off. i just got kinda upset because shes never spoken to me in that tone before. it wasnt in person-but it still kinda hurt cause for the first time i felt criticized by her. so i dont know if im going back because it just feels uncomfortable. so for the time being im sticking with the great people in these forums. i appreciate all of your advice thanks <3

You know what? I went through 3 different therapists before I found the one that I felt comfortable with...I almost think that is normal you know?

If you don't think that she is working with you, then tell her that you want someone else...simple as that. Remember ,you are paying her!

I found this site when I was at my worst. I was not eating,I cried all of the time... just gotten over an attempt on my life(long story short)

This place and all of the great people on here are what brought me out. I know it sounds crazy, but where else can you type all of these crazy thoughts and have someone understand???

We are here for you!!!!! And we are VERY glad that you are here!!

If you feel that you want to give it another chance then do it.

Remember to tell her how you felt the last time you saw her,she might not have realized what she did.

We all have bad days, even therapists. Maybe you just caught her at a poor time. Still doesn't excuse her being unprofessional though...

Hi there,

I have had days where I did not really like what my Pdoc had to say as I went in with an agenda and came out with nothing on my agenda. She did not agree with me..................I had to rethink the whole issue.

If you feel you have a good relationship then stick with her.

Take care of you

I agree with the other guys and gals. If you feel liek you want to give it another go then go for it. I was lucky in that I found a great councillor first time. But as Shy has said sometimes it can take 3 times. Its really  about how you feel. Have a chat with her and see how you feel.

I am glad you are giving your therapist another try. We are all human and as was said, maybe she was having a bad day. I have a bad habit of taking things too personal. I also think that others bad moods are directed at me when a lot of times they aren't. I am just too sensitive most of the time. I think that everything will be okay when you see her again. She probably didn't even realize she sounded the way she did.
Let us know how it goes, I am sure it will be fine.
Keep us posted, we will always be here for you.

It is shorthand for "behind these eyes." Many of us use abbreviations, such as FG for FamilyGuy. :-)

Glad things went well with your therapist after all and you didn't have to try to find another one.  It is so important to have the right therapist.  Good luck to you.

Take care!
