My blood sugars have returned to normal, I am now down to 5mg of prednisone (which can raise sugars).
I just wanted to say thank you for your help, I really appreciate it!
I'm going to continue to watch my refined sugars and carbs while on prednisone (probably through Oct 08).  I also want to continue to eat healthy/excercise and hope to avoid type 2 diabetes (My Mom has it).
Thanks again!!!

Good job, Beth!  Sometimes we can really control our health ourselves.  I think we're more informed today as we have more information available to us than our parents had when they were younger.  (Actually I believe I am in your parents' generation since I'm 59!) In any case, congratulations!  You're successful because you're controlling your lifestyle in a healthy way.  :)

We all gain when one of us succeeds against diabetes. Your ability to inquire, learn, change, and control your food plan and lifestyle has been inspirational. You would probably be the first person to say that it was not easy. Eating well isn't always inexpensive and it's not always right there in front of you. You kind of have to dig for it and make it happen. And you are winning!

Congratulations on taking control of your life! Keep fighting!
