Hi:)

Having some trouble with night lows even while cutting the Lantus. I am also on Metformin and Januvia. I cut the Lantus 6 units last night and still dropped to low 60's two hours later. That is too low to go to sleep for me as I drop 30 to 40 points at night. Have to lots and lots to even get to 80. Which med might be doing this? Working down on the pred and almost off. I am concerned when I stop the pred my bg will also fall. Thanks for any help:)

CeeBee,
I don't like anything at all that I've read about Januvia. I think it may burn out your pancreas before the end of your life and then you'll be type1. Just my 2ยข, but I'd dump that one first of all.

Metformin works much like exercise and helps your own insulin move glucose molecules across the cell membranes.

Lantus is made from recombined human cloned dna. Can't get much safer than that.

I'm not a doc but I'd ditch the Januvia.
