I went to the ER the other night. I suddenly started sweating and my lymph gland
under my neck swelled to the size of a baseball. (a little smaller) I was sweating buckets
and my BP was very high.
I was so sick, sick, sick. And it came on suddenly.
Apparently I had an infection in my Lymph Gland. I'm on Antibiotics.
What concerns me is my Glucose level. It was 158. Apparently the range is
Low 70
High 105
I left the ER after 6 hours and was stabilized. I haven't been to the doctor yet.
I wonder if that high Glucose is a sign of Diabetes.
My mom had it. Her mom had it.
I haven't read anything yet. I'll be back later to do some reading.

Pamela, blood sugar will sometimes rise when the body is fighting sickness/trauma or other kinds of ailment and this is normal, so maybe that's what happened to you.  If diabetes runs in your family, then this is a condition your doctor needs to know about and then your blood sugar should be watched for rising trends.
