I found a great site for health related software. There's one I just downloaded that allows you to search for specific foods and displays the same label that you find on containers. Another one called Food Diary helps you plan meals. It even has a web site with the database on it so you can look up items when you're away from home. Didn't have time to go through all the listings but I recommend having a look. So far, they all appear to be FREE, with no nags and/or begging for money. I'll be testing a couple tonight and let you know if they work well.

P.S. I couldn't make the link clickable I think because there is a message beside the typing area that says "mCode is Disabled'. How do I eneable it?

OK, I just tried Food File and Nutrition Facts. They both basically do the same thing -- they allow you to search a database for specific foods and display the info but no meal planning.

Interesting and somewhat helpful but not the best. I'll keep looking.

Thanks, Chris.  Maybe if you just post http://www.freewarehome.com, we can click on that and find the rest.  There's another site that will give you the nutritional values of all different kinds of foods and recipes:  www.nutritiondata.com.   So, if you want to know how avocados, for example, rate in nutrients, carbs, etc. you can easily find out there.
