I've been on Niaspan for over a year, 2000 mg per day. My wife's insurance company paid all but $50.00 for a 90 day supply. Now

that General Motors no longer covers it's retirees we have a big problem. A 90 day supply of 180 pills, 2 per day, 1000 mg each

cost $700.00 and the same for my Zetia pills.

My question is can I replace Niaspan with Slo-Niacin and get close to the same results ?

Thanks,

Shooter,
This is really a question for your pharmacist. Give your local Walgreens a call and ask to speak to the pharmacist on duty. They are all about helping people with drug questions and if this med isn't right he/she may be able to suggest a different one. Good luck with this. My mom is in the same boat as you are.
