Hi Summer, I'm sorry but I have no idea how to answer your question.  Perhaps others can help.  I hope your mom is under a doctor's care.

I wonder if she is speaking of "bile salts"? Have you spoken to her doctor?

Summer, This is regards to your previous post about your heart beating fast after meals and pounding. I tried to comment on it but it is locked. I too have this problem, matter of fact I just ate and I am feeling my worst, pounding fast pulse I can feel through my chest. I have also seen my Cardiologist who says its hard to digest food or possibly my vegas nerve but I am not convinced. Does it happen after every meal you eat? For example if you were to eat a salad do you still experience those symptoms after? I notice when I eat salad, fruit, or grass fed beef I don't get it but if I eat anything else but that Im done on my couch for hours drinking tons of water trying to get my pulse down and I am on a better blocker. May it be possible that you have a food allergy? Mine started about two years ago after I was dx with Thyriod disease and then dx with Hashimotos last year. I am only 25 years... too younge to be feeling this lousy. Hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome to HealingWell, CrevA. You replied to a post that is five years old and this member hasn't been seen here in all this time, so I doubt she will reply to you. This is the Diabetes forum, so your questions would belong in the Heart and Cardio Forum in any case.

My suggestion is to start a new post in the Heart and Cardio Forum and introduce yourself explaining what your problems are and perhaps you will get some active members to respond.

Thank you and I hope you will find some answers over there.
