Hi,

I am in desperate need of advice.  I am devasted!
My father is suffering from High Blood Pressure, Diabeties (2 injections per day), Kidney Failure.
He underwent by-pass surgery 15 years back.  He is having diabeties since more than 15 years.
Since just more than year ago we found out that his kidney's have started failing.
So we were using homeopathic medicines and diet control.  His Creatine level has been constant at around 5.  Last month all of a sudden his creatine level has increased to 7!!!
His Blood Urea level has also increased to 179 from 143 in one month!
From past 2 weeks he is experencing low blood sugar level early in the morning.
At the moment his urine and stools are quite normal.  and his physical activity is ok.
He has reduced the insuline intake level as well, still of little help.

I am really worried about the increase in his creatine and urea level and also the low blood sugar levels!!!
Could you please advice me what I should expect and do?  why this might be happening?

Many thanks
-Santosh

Santosh, I know you're very worried about your father.  My advice is to take him to a doctor.  Where did he have the lab tests since you know what his results are?  How do you know he has kidney failure?  If he has kidney problems, he should be seen by your doctor or a specialist, a nephrologist.  I suggest more lab tests and an evaluation by a medical doctor for his diabetes, too.  Good luck.

Sorry to hear about the turn of events, Santosh. Time to go see the doc as those symptoms point to kidney distress. It needs to be checked out.

Some info that might help:

Good luck & take care.
