ive been a type 1 on set diabetic going on 3 years now and it is very well controlled according to my a1c test results. ive been told that if i was going to drink not to take my lantus at night i drink once maybe twice a yr. now the person who told me this is also a diabetic and drinks but is poorly controlled and doesnt take her insulin at all...but anyways i just wanted to know if this is true or does it depend on what type you are or does it depend on the person??

In my opinion, you should ask your doctor.  Type 1s or others on diabetes meds could be at risk of crashing with extreme lows.  Don't rely on the advice of someone who's not a doctor.
