I saw where you mentioned "Dawn Phenomal" (?) If that is when your sugar rises as the day progresses ...........what is it when your sugar rises during the night but falls as the day progresses?

Dawn Phenomenon is when your body cycles thru the "getting ready to wake up" part of your sleep mode in the early pre-dawn hours and your liver pushes some stored glucose into your blood stream to prepare for the day ahead. In Type2's this can go overboard. There are a couple of great sites that explain it much better than I can.

Dawn Phenomenon

Diabetes and Morning High Blood Sugar Levels

For myself, eating 1/2 an apple or banana with some peanut butter at bedtime offsets this problem.
